About HACP
In accordance of the Somali civil code of 1960, and Puntland constitution of 2012 we established the organization here after in the year of 2010.
Partners in Peace
HACP specializes to promote and protect the enjoyment and full realization, by all people with gender sensitive , of all their rights established in Islamic Sharia, the UN Charter, IHL, other international human rights laws and treaties; and those drawn from the Somali customary law widely practiced in the Somali-populated areas in the Horn of Africa sub-region.
As a result, HACP will work closely with various actors (both state and non-state) who are already active in the field of peace-building and conflict management in Somalia and in the Horn of Africa sub-region.
Sources of Funding
In addition to contributions from its membership, HAPC’s Board of Directors (BoD) will regularly raise awareness and funding for its programmes. Other methods to fund-raise include sourcing through project proposals; annual fund-raising events and through consultancies contracts from various actors. HAPC will also engage the Somali Diaspora community outside Somalia to sponsor specific events of interest to them. HAPC’s focus is on the Nordic countries followed by other parts of Europe and northern America, Arab and African countries.
Agenda of the First Meeting
- Establishment of the organization.
- Election of the executive committee.
- Preparation of primary project proposal.
The first meeting of the organization founders was held on 12th of September 2009. In this meeting all members have participated the meeting.m It has been agreed, accepted and signed by the founders of the organization in which the executive committee members are elected.
